Default Still chasing a noise

I have had my v40 04 plate for 3 months now. Have had the timing belt & bits done, auxiliary belt & tensioner done & last week the crank pulley was replaced all because of a rumbling from the engine in the belts area at idle. Trying to get the correct pulley turned out to a complete nightmare, got the volvo partnumber, but nls. Turns out it's a Renault engine. Went to a Renault dealer who have me 23 part numbers for crank pulleys, but couldn't tell me which one is the right one because volvo and Renault part numbers cannot crossreference each other, so went for a generic one. Now I have to get an ac clutch and am wondering if I'm going to have to go through this again which I'm not looking forward to.
