Is youre fuel filter nice and clean, also youre float chamber on the carb any dirt in there and it will give you those symptoms, you can check youre pump by taking the main fuel line off and cranking the engine if fuel ****es out you know that side of things is okay.

do you have a diagram of the vacuum pipes as there one coming from the bottom of the carb/inlet manifold that is blocked off, ??? also does this connect in any way to the advance and retard as this is carb model been told it use a vacuum to sort this rather than an ecu ????

it was running ok until today there no vacuum in the tank in other words no hissing when you take cap off, im relly stumped

i have no idea whee the fuel filter is as been told this model only has one on the end of the sender unit ????

its a gle 1.7 cataliyzer model 1992

Sadly I don't know much about youre model and its been a few years since I've encountered a carb aswell, but the good thing is there fairly simple to fix,I remember my golf had a carb and that would run like a dog if the carb was dirty in any way,but apart from what I have suggested I'm stumped tbh,you could try and find a length of hose and try and connect the vacum back up,it's proberly been blanked off thou because someone in the past has put a different or updated carb on.take the plugs out and have a look at the electrodes they should tell you what's going on,if the car is overfueling running rich etc.it could be something as simple as youre carb isint adjusted properly aswell.if it was running alright and isn't now then it's something daft.or it's a fuel jet inside the carb.

Fill up the tank mate, that should help. I have done it in the past, worked out great.

there is a rubber one way flap valve in the bottom of the swirl pot which lets fuel IN but not OUT , i guess this is leaking , so emptying the pot when the fuel tank level is low .
