Default C70 gear knob and gaiter replacement.

I wish to replace the leather gear and handbrake gaiters on my 2003 C70 and need to remove the gear knob and handbrake handle in order to do so. Having searched the internet I am confused how to do this as there seem to be different instructions on how to do it. Can anyone kindly give me instructions on how to it safely without causing damage?

Hi Darren.
Use the search button to look for dash board removal or centre console removal. There are loads of threads to help,
If I understand correctly what you wish to do....it's very straightforward, and you certainly don't need to remote the handbrake.
I had to the search when I changed my interior trim panels from silver to the walnut effect.
One tip I will add .....when removing the long console between the seats...drape a towell over the heater controls/radio...as while you're concentrating on the gaiters....the end of the console can scratch hell out of the controls, as it's up in the air !
I learnt the hard way.....and had to replace them...(big thanks to Minty from this club for selling me a mint set btw &#128522
Hope this helps.
Best wishes
Dave
