1999 v70R immobiliser fault code 720A car won't start and the only code stored I'd the one above has anyone got any ideas please

Spoke to Adam at readview garage he advised me to change the Antenna around the ignition switch so I'm going to start there

Yep common fault, usually causes intermittant non starting though. Very easy to change, just undo 3 torx screws holding the steering column covers, split n remove bottom cover. Undo the multiplug connected to the ring and the ring will pull away ignition switch with a bit of force ! Refitting is then the reversal as the Haynes manual would say lol !!

As above, common fault. Usual symptom is that it will fire a couple of times but not catch and keep running. You could try cleaning the contacts thoroughly with contact cleaner - apparently this is often all the fault is, but it does need to be done thoroughly, might be worth a try as it's easy and free to do?

Default I've ordered one from the dealer for Tuesday

As above I've ordered one they are delivering it to my garage thought I would get a new one as I know it's right then first thing to play up in 80k apart from maintenance stuff so not loosing faith in it yet
