Excessive Oil Consumption - 2001 C70 B5244T
As in the title, I have a 2001 C70 2.4T with 87k miles on the clock. It has had the turbo return pipe seals done and does not appear to be leaking oil in any other location.
I have been keeping an eye on the dipstick lately and the oil level has been getting incrementally lower. I am thinking the PCV could be responsible for this, but the dipstick tube does not appear to be puffing any smoke. Could it be the PCV? |

Hi, I am far from being an expert but can speak from recent experience. I have a non turbo 1998 V70 with 140,000 on the clock. My car began to run rich with lumpy tickover and increased fuel consumption.I tried a plastic glove over oil filler hole and the glove inflated. My oil consumption increased to about a litre every 1,000 miles.
My mechanic fitted a pcv kit that I purchased from Scandix in Germany. All previous problems rectified. Hope this helps.jack |
