I have for the last two years , I've got a pump from lidl but they are all generic , takes about 20 minutes to get 5 ltrs out , it's that easy I do an extra oil change half way through the service period , a lot won't use pumps in case they leave old oil behind , but I get the same out whether I drain or suck

I got a Lidl one. Use if for ATF change.
Got 3 litres out last month, but fluid very thick due to being very bloody cold!!
Used it for ATF on my last two cars.
Just reverse it to fill up again.

I use a manual Pela vacuum pump for my wife's Mini and have never removed the sump plug yet. For the XC90 I remove the sump plug and leave it draining for a few hours to get as much old oil out as possible. If you do use a vacuum pump make sure the engine is up to operating temperature before you start sucking out the oil or you'll be there all day

Used the Lidl one several times now, it’s pretty good just keep an old oil container for the oil you pull out, never get all oil out via pump or gravity some motors don’t have sump plugs so pumping is the only option.

Is easier if you warm the motor up first

I use one to bleed the brakes / clutch and change brake fluid.
Oil change I always drop the drain plug. I believe the initial gush gets more of the crud that sits on the bottom of the sump out than gently sucking the oil out the dipstick would.

Each to their own but my cars will always have the plug dropped.

Its a lot easier to set the thing on suck while having a cuppa.
Lots of garages use them. Lots of modern cars are very awkward to work on.
Would you or I know the difference ?
