Default Windscreen moisture inside our XC90

Hi All,
in the last month or so we have been getting some condensation on the inside of the screen of our XC90. I've felt around the carpets and they are dry, so I dont think there is a matrix problem and the fact that it doesnt happen all the time supports this.

Has anyone else had similar experience with their car ? if yes, I'd be grateful for your views and ideas on this.
Thanks,
Russ

firstly how old is the car and has it got a sunroof ? feeling the carpets is no good as there are 5 inches of foam under the carpets. It will take a few years to fill the floorpan before it is visible on the surface of the carpet . These cars dont have problems with leaking heater radiators ...

Hi Clan, thanks for the reply.

The car is a 2004 53 model with no sunroof. As you say these cars dont have problems with leaking heating systems, it just confirms what I said in my original post.
I am beginning to wonder if it could just be the settings that I have the system at. I will try different settings and see if it helps.
As I said earlier, its not all the time it mists up, just now and then.
The worst of it was on thursday when it was really frosty, it actually froze on the inside of the car too!
Regards,
Russ

maybe no problem then , leaving the car with doors and tailgate open all day on a nice sunny dry winters day will dry out and surface moisture which has collected from wet clothes or shoes or umbrellas ...

I have a thread on a similar topic. I have since turned off the auto air filter/re-circulate and I've not yet had problems (could be down to the weather though......) Will see

Thanks for all the replies.

I've also turned off my air recirculation, as most people seem to reckon that will do the trick.
Fingers crossed.
