Is it just me? I keep noticing Volvo's in drama's and films on telly and at the cinema. They always seem to pop up, even in U.S. ones.

Latest ones were Luther and Hannibal (only started watching tonight on SKY) and World War Z.

There's also one in the new Wolverine movie thats out.

There is another thread on this, but I'm too lazy to look for it right now.

Every American movie on the telly always has a 120 to 960 used by the goody female lead and family. Failing that, a 120 to 960 is always in a background shot of the goody family.
A goody family always sends its car driving youngsters out in a 120 to 960, especially if there is to be a catastrophe.

Yep, loads and loads of Sweedish metal in films...

A personal favourite of mine is in 28 Weeks Later, where the heroin of the piece is in a P1 V70, she is attacked by poison gas, flame throwers, a helecopter gunship and even drives down a load of stairs into the Underground.

All water off a duck's back for a Volvo!!

Wink My cars on TV

A few weeks ago I saw my new V40 in the crime series New tricks, it was even the same colour. We told our friends we hadn't gone on holiday but were in a film studio as we had hired our car out to various BBC production companies for filming. Amazingly some of them believed it, well for 2 seconds anyway.
