Default Loud Bang and shock when turning

I'm hoping someone in the XC90 forum can shed a bit of light on a problem I have with my 2004 V70 AWD R. I have written a longer explaination on the P2 forum. I thank you for you patience.
I have a DTC DEM 0005 code :- Regulator value faulty signal.
On full lock the car feels to be being held back somehow and if you accelerate there is a loud bang and shock like the car has jumped out of gear, but it has not. It actually feels more that its trying to jump into a gear.
These events did not happen until the DTC appeared.

What puzzles me is, has the DTC has caused a mechanical issue ie the bang or is it just coincidence and the fixing of the DTC would still leave the mechanical problem to be sorted out.??

Oil and driveshaft bolts are OK, no leaks.

Anyone come across the same issue on their XC90, and how did you fix it?

Thank you for your time

Cheers

Bob.

I've replied to your post on the P2 forum, but basically if you have drag at slow speed tight lock turns it sounds like your haldex unit has locked up but this is most unusual. Check by lifting one rear wheel and see if it will turn freely with all 3 other wheels on the ground. Handbrake must be off.
