but what actually do you get for your money ?
and what does it do …….. is it the same as an OBDII reader that are for sale all over the for just a few ££

For £100, you receive a tested and working Dice unit to plug into your 1999-2015 Volvo which communicates with the Vida software to provide diagnostic information, live data and problem solving solutions. Vida also contains a comprehensive workshop manual and parts catalogue.
OBDII readers will usually communicate only with engine and automatic transmission modules but more sophisticated ones will include SRS and brake modules.
Nothing else in this price range will communicate with the 12+, sometimes 20+ modules fitted to a modern Volvo whereas Dice and Vida will.
On a Windows 10 laptop, I would simply make a Windows 7 Professional partition on the hard drive for under a fiver and load Vida on that.
Direct installation onto Windows 10 appears to be neither quick or easy so I offer no support in that regard.

W7 Pro 32Bit Acer Extensa 5230E (4GB RAM (BTW it says 4GB RAM 2.93GB useable)
lots of C: drive space) IE Explorer 11. It is going to be dedicated to the Volvo so nothing else other than W7 is on there.
