Default My20 xc90

All,

I know we have a thread on the facelift/new engines, but its turned into Audi v Volvo, so starting a fresh here with a little more information.

So I'm coming up to the point where my MY17 XC90 will be three years old and time to change. i contacted my dealer yesterday and caught him a little on the back foot re. MY20, the new engines and the facelift! Anyway, he went away and did his research, and with all due credit came back within the hour with a new MY20 price list (attached), and a link to what I think is an 'international' version of the new car specification, where you can at least see some of the new colours (but don't read anything into the spec, as its not UK).

This is a link to the site.

The specification should be attached.

I'm not convinced the specification/price list is the actual final edition for the UK, so don't read too much into it at this stage.

Things I'm speculating on/unsure of, in no particular order:

1. All engine variants will get 'joy stick' style gear selector.
2. 6 seats may not be a UK option.
3. Home link option oddly missing from specification.
4. Aux heating oddly missing as option (standard on T8)
5. You don't pick a colour, just a shade of grey.
6. New grey leather option.
7. UK market still get dual tone steering wheel with blone.
8. Car Play/Android Auto now part of HK sound option.
9. Momentum now gets power passenger seat.
10. Integrated roof rails standard on all variants
11. Load Protection Net now standard
12. 2 USB now standard
13. Bright red colour no longer available for R-Design
14. Magic blue gone (again!)
15. New colours include Pebble Grey, Thunder Grey and Birch Light (which I recon replaces luminous sand but looks a similar tone, maybe with a bit more green (possibly the same colour my old man's 240GLE was in the early 80s!)
16. Grey Ash Inlays. Are they new?
17. Some new wheel designs.

Like I say not sure how final the attached is, so all/none of the above may be correct/incorrect!!

Have a look, let us know what else you can spot!

Thats cool there's a link to the international configurator which is loaded with the refresh;

https://www.volvocars.com/intl/build/suv/xc90

Can see what it looks like now in different colours even if there's no pricing! :-)

Car Play/Android Auto still available as standalone option.

Swedespeed reporting availability of blond seats for R-Design, though apparently not for UK.

I do like that new Thunder Grey !

And the new alloys and the fact they've made a lot of the external trim like a sort of black pack now.

Do like it - really tightened the design up whilst not changing it so much to make the older cars look different.

Get an Audi 😜. The 2 tone steering wheels look really ‘old man’-ish to me.

Is this the end of the Orrefors knob on the T8? Or has it been included now for all? (reference to an illuminated selector)

I like my glowing knob

I think its looking like a joystick style gear selector is included on all models now, with a glass illuminated selector on Inscription.

See images attached, first is from Volvo UK's current builder, for the MY19 models and the second, which shows a joystick style selector is from the 'international' configurator which appears to be updated with MY20 options and images.

Both images were snapped for a configuration of a basic momentum diesel.

As you point out, the specification seems to support this theory too.
