Default Damage to front seat upholstory by seat belt

Has anyone else experienced the edge of their front leather seats being damaged by their seat belt?

The metal piece that locks into the anchor is the culprit. When the belt is released it rests up against the side of the driver's seat. If you're not very, very careful it gradually rubs against the faux leather edge of the seat and wears the surface down to the lining underneath.

Has anyone any suggestions on how to prevent further wear or repair?

The same is true of the passenger seat but, because it has less use than the driver's, the wear rate is much reduced.

Regards

Arianne.
