340 GL for sale £200

Hi,

I need to dispose of a 1985 5 door 1400cc Volvo 340 GL, it's in good condition. The car is in Caterham Surrey it has been kept in a garage, with about 52,000 on clock and a current MOT until May 2009, it has only done 600 miles since the 2007 MOT.

That looks rather nice. Manual, or CVT? Any tax on it?

May I suggest you roll it outside, take some really nice pictures of it, then stick it on eBay with a good description? That's usually puts the advert in front of the largest audience...and you should get more than £200 for it.

To be honest, if one of my employers hadn't been taken over by a huge multinational who still haven't paid us for November let alone December and if I wasn't without wheels and able to sort things out I'd have snapped this up. Being off the road now for 9 days has made me realise I need a back up car and seeing how many people on here have their own personal Volvo fleets I'm getting the bug too! Thanks for the positive comments, it's a manual gearbox, there is no road tax on it.

I will have more time next week to take better photos.

That looks like the 85 special edition... with electric windows, chrome wheel trims, plusher trim, pin stripe and maybe central locking??

The original invoice does state a 340 GL 5 door Special, yes it has central locking, the basic price was £5076.00
