Hi Mike

If you find one I recon its pretty close to a one off or very limited. I have never seen one or even hear of one. I also saw the mistake on the IPD website. Its a pity cuz a nice straight 6 rocker cover would be hugely awesome!

I'm sure John H will be around soon to advise.

Two more thoughts...

1. If they exist anywhere, Sweden will be the place to look. Maybe try the Swedish 164 club

http://www.164club.org

2. Do we have any clever engineer type on here who could make such a thing?

Default Tis possible!

Speaking of making ones own...

Ok, I must confess to bordem! I am on vacation and was a little bored/inspired! I designed this. Just has to be sent to a CNC machine. The only thing that would be needed in the B30's case would be an elongation! Hope you enjoy! Or maybe even if you are interested in possible production ... let me know. Where there is a will there is a way.

That looks great, Dylan; after I first saw one on an Amazon years ago I wanted one. An interesting machining to cost out - a lot of wastage I reckon.

Is anybody able to cost making a batch out - I'm sure there would be several listers interested once a design is confirmed, providing the cost is not beyond us. My only reservation is the red inlay - it may clash 'orribly with my blue Amazon; maybe if only heatproof paint that can be optional.

Am also interested in "stretching" one for my 164, but as less people have one of these cars, costs might be much higher.

Any offers, Dylan?

Let me explain the design and thoughts.

I designed it in view of it being sand cast, I like the texture. So it would be a once off CNC for the molds. The two badges are actually part of the actual cover and the red finned plate is an insert plate boltd to the top.

The car model badge can be which ever one needs for ones own car. And the colour coding can be to whatever you specify, even left bare. This one was just rendered in these colours and the casting texture didn't look right so I never used it.

If there is sufficient interest I'll move toward getting a cost idea. Let me know.

Dylan
