Somebody please buy this car before I buy another car to add to my family. I don't even need it but come on that is no money for a daily driver.Chuck the nivomats and put standard shocks and heavy duty coil springs on.
Regards Brian.

Agree with minesa - this will be worth running around in for that price!
Plus theres an abundance of spares at the moment - most of those jobs that need doing will be simple.

Car now sold and hopefully saved.

Well done 855 tdi for taking on the project. It is great to see a youngster keen on traditional Volvos so please give him any support you can if he asks for help on the forum during the rebuild.

Cheers,
LeeP

Thank goodness it sold and to a nice chap as well.

He will certainly get plenty of help on here.

Maybe he will start a project thread?

Well done all I can sleep well now not having to stress over a cheap viable car.

Regards Brian.

Glad to hear it's gone to a good home. I would have saved it if nobody else was interested but might have had to sleep on the sofa for a year to make up for it !

She got home with zero problems and the day after picking her up i struck it lucky down the local scrapyard. Found a silver 940 to my surprise with a clean non sagging headliner so i got that, her fuel flap and the rubber lining incase you spill fuel since mine was torn. Also got her both visors and a spare rear view mirror, managed to get some clear side indicators for my 850 so she got the orange ones off my 850 which was lucky as one of hers was broken. Also got her some new glass for the wing mirrors since they are filthy, still need to look at the fuel gauge, the electric windows, replace the aerial mast, find out why the fog lights arent working and sort the sunroof. Unfortunately i wont be able to buy much until my 850 has sold but once it does shes getting new lights all round as the reflective part on the headlights is pretty bad. Anyway, im glad to have it and have to thank lee for doing a good job looking after her she was far too good for scrap or breaking.

Good work so far. You ought to start a project thread, says the man who didn't bother when he got his 940 !
