Believe it or not Blueosprey, I am very happy doing it, I like researching for parts and studying how the systems work. My consulting work has been decreasing as the years advance, and the colleagues and people that knew me are either retired or dead, and as probably many of you know, there is absolutely nothing that an old man of 74 with 50 years of corporate experience can teach the younger generation! So this provides a great hobby and keeps me busy and healthy.
I have learned a lot from this forum and in particular from Army and his great pictures and detailed explanations, I think that when he is done with the PV he could gather all the info and publish a hell of a good manual.

Hi everyone,just been reading this post for the first time and had to smile to myself at Adarvasi admitting to being 74! Well I’m coming up to 73 and on my 9th Volvo, 5 off them rebuilt from wrecks. My latest project is a 1959 544 in very rusty condition,mainly brought about by years of a leaking windscreen rubber. I bought it 15 years ago ( on a bit of a nostalgia trip) as I’d rallied a PV back in the late 60s. I shouldn’t have as it needed loads of work in every area. Any way I am determined to make a serious re start on renovation this year. I am thinking of may be trying to make my own copy of the 65 East African Safari winning car of the Singh brothers. Only wish my car looked half as good as the one purchased by Adarvasi!
