Engine 'Miss'
Hi All, this is my first post on the forum and would appreciate some help. I have a 2013 V50 R-Design, it is the 2.0 D3, over the last few weeks the engine has developed a 'miss' particularly when accelerating away from a junction or on a roundabout. It is an intermittent fault, which are the worst kind to diagnose. I have taken the car back to Volvo, who had the car all day but could not find any problem! The car has only covered 11K and was serviced by Volvo back in March on its first anniversary, any ideas.
Thanks in anticipation. |

Does the issue only happen as the rpm goes through a certain range? I had issues with my '07 2.0D (an older engine and I don't know how similar) where it would 'hiccup' under acceleration when passing 1900-2000rpm once the engine was warmed up. It would also 'hunt' a bit sometimes if you hacruising along at that rpm... After a bit of investigation, the problem was fixed (reduced 95%*) by changing three of the injectors.
(*Sometimes I think I still feeli it a bit but that could just be paranoia..!) Geoff |

Thanks Geoff, thinking about it the 'hiccup' does tend to happen at low acceleration. Also I noticed that after cruising at a constant seed on a motorway the 'miss' has happened when I accelerate to overtake. Back to Volvo I think!
Regards, Mike. |
