Default Keyless entry question on 2014 s60

My keyless entry didn't work without holding the key right up close. So the car has been in to have that fixed.

The driver side works fine now as does the boot. However the passenger side doesn't work.

Is the passenger side meant to work? Or is this by design?

How long have you had the motor?did it work? If it worked before going into garage, and it doesn’t now, take it back.

I bought it, it didn't work on delivery. So they have attempted to fix it under warranty. (not had it longer than 2 months).

They fixed it and I could have sworn it worked when I went to pick the car up but now I can't get it to work.

Even the drivers side which was working was ropey earlier though I think it's probably as my phone was in the same pocket as my keys on that occasion.

Really I just wanted to know if it should work on passenger side (with the key on the person opening the passenger side) so I can call them up and tell them confidently it doesn't work

The key should work on all doors and tailgate.

Check your settings, if you have it set to only unlock the drivers door this may be why the passenger side isn't opening.

Thanks, that's all I wanted to know just so I don't look like an idiot when I call them!
