Tempted by a strut brace. Was the one you got on ebay OEM or aftermarket? Is it pretty straightforward to fit? Any chance you could post up a picture of it fitted.

I managed to get an OEM one £30 plus postage on Ebay, then it was just 2 bolts either side so quite a straight forward fitment, I'll post some pics up later....

Thanks for that. Looks pretty neat sat in there at rear of engine bay. I'll keep my eyes out for one of them coming up again on ebay.

Its a nice fit just clears the fusebox, unfortunately they don't seem to come up often, keep an eye on the breaking s40/v50 on ebay and you may get lucky, you can get the aftermarket ones for bout 70-100 but I prefer the standard look..

Looks OK the EST One is a lot meatier tho - will take a few pics to post.

Bet yours was a lot cheaper tho!

Strut Brace is essential really sharpens the front end up and reduces tramp.

I retro fitted the strut brace in my C30... Original from Volvo. Didn't notice any change at all... Only optical...

The main difference is a reduction in tramping when you get wheelspin - having over 300lb-ft torque is the issue there I suspect It's possible the EST one makes a bigger difference as it's a lot more substantial than the OEM one.
