Default Iphone 6s HELP.

Recently my iphone 6s was updated by Apple now it turns the radio off and announces who is calling but i cannot hear anything if i put it to my ear i can barely hear anything so i have to hang up.Today i got my sister to call me while she was in the car and it was the same so i turned bluetooth off on my phone, and she called again and everything was back to normal (speaker working).I have lost all my contacts off my phone which i used to scroll thru to call whilst driving but all i get is "Synchronising phone book" which it has been doing for 2/3 weeks now.Any ideas please.

I have the same phone with all current updates but without any issues. I can only suggest unpairing the phone from the car and pair the two again.
Mine does not announce who is calling and never has, but does show incoming calls number if in my phone book. ( Forgive me if you’ve done all this already).

Start with a full factory reset through iTunes but before you do check the volume levels in settings as sometimes the up/down buttons don't override the setting in settings.

Check the headphone setting especially and any mute settings, other than that I'd bug shift it and start fresh.

when there is a call then increase the volume, it may just be really quiet?

but TBH, remove the phone from the car and re-connect as a new device. then it if doesnt change from there, things can start getting looked at

Just removed phone from cars memory and tried pairing it again but the car says it can't find it.

I wonder if your phone battery is dying if it's playing up with BT.

Fully charged and on charge in the car.

You need to install a battery health app if the phone doesn't have one, a 75% dying battery will still say 100% charged but it's only 100% of 25%,

Electrics play havoc if they don't get the correct amount of power, in this scenario your phone is maxed out with background apps but still trying to activate a strong enough BT signal which it can't if the other things are consuming all the battery has to offer,

It probably isn't this but unless you rule it out you'll carry on looking for something that can't be fixed.

In which case I’m extremely sorry for suggesting it. 🥺
