Default Disconnecting the battery

Does disconnecting the battery rest the trip, avg mpg and avg speed readings?

No it doesn't. When you reconnect you only have to reset the time. I've only ever disconnected the battery for a few hours though, not sure if you disconnect for weeks etc.

having recently changed my battery I confirm that only the time, and in my case, the Audio Bass/Treble settings were affected my disconnecting the battery. My battery was removed for about 90 mins before the new one arrived.

One thing to note is to make sure you wait at least 5 mins from removing the ignition key to disconnecting as the car does do some stuff in powering-down each time and best not to interrupt (say so in the manual).

Also just in case: always disconnect earth lead first and reconnect last.

Thanks guys, just changed the battery, you're right it was only the clock that reset. Not checked the audio settings yet
