Default XC60 Nav Puzzle

Apologies if this has been asked before but I’m a new XC60 owner and new to this forum

I’ve recently bought this car and whilst the blue triangle moves the map seems to be frozen. It’s probably something really simple but I can’t find a solution in the cars manual or online.

Thanks

On the right-hand side of the screen is a circle with a cross through it, a bit like a gunsight. Tap it!

As Steve says.

If you tap the gunsight, the map will track with the car. If you touch the map and scroll around the map, the map will stay stationary until you tap the gun sight again.

I have an early 2017 XC60 which doesn’t have a touch screen. Is the cross hair on earlier systems to.

Thanks Steves

If it is the previous generation of Sensus it may be a setting in the menu, there is a option to select Map Mode and Compass Direction. If you go into Navigation Map Options you can select how the map is shown. 'North Up' and the map always has North at the top, and the car symbol (Blue Triangle) moves on the screen depending on direction of travel, if you are going West the triangle will move across the screen to the left, while the map remains pointing North. If Map Heading Up is selected, then the car symbol always travels up the screen and the map moves around depending on direction of travel.

In the Mk1 XC60 this would occur if you moved the map around using the number keys underneath. If you then press the Nav button it would 'reset' you to your default settings and the map would move with the car / arrow. That said, turning the system off and on again, such as would happen when locking the car, would perform the same function, but your post suggests this is an ongoing problem. I'm not aware of any other settings that can be changed to create this scenario.
