Default P1800 Webasto

For sale is a working but unrestored Webasto sun roof for the Volvo P1800.
As you will see from the pictures, the roof is operational and has no rips on the external fabric.
The interior fabric has considerable ripping and will most likely need replacing.
I don't know if the release handle should have some kind of return spring as it doesn't seem to pop back into place on it's own. I am not a Webasto expert so you will need to do your own research there.
The chrome on the fold away wind deflector is rusted away but the deflector is not seized.
Sale is to include the parts of the sunroof in the photo, the internal frame and aluminium trim but NOT the main headliner. It is badly damaged anyway and not really useable. No other cars, equipment or any other items are for sale -inquiries about these will be ignored.
I am open to sensible offers.
I will ignore emails from freeloaders and chancers.
Many thanks for your interest, I will be happy to answer any reasonable questions regarding the sun roof as far as my knowledge goes, but cannot give you any info or advice on fitting.
I will set about carefully removing the sun roof today and may adjust this listing with any further helpful information.
Pending a reasonable agreement with a buyer, I will get a quote for sending it. Posting will be at buyers cost.
Please scrutinize the photos...

Gordon.
Just to say looking at your photos, I would say the extra benefit with yours to the buyer is the wind deflector.
I have similar on my car and when the roof is open with the wind deflector the effect is brilliant at any speed, with no wind buffeting inside the car, even at 80mph (ouch sorry)!

I can now confirm that the return spring on the release latch does in fact work. A bit of use after years of standing idle must have worked it loose.
I have cut the entire roof from the car in order that any buyer can see how it is fitted.

Hi Gordon

I am looking at a p1800 that has the hole in the roof but I am uncertain if the bits are with this stripped car. Is there any chance I can confirm in 4 days unless off course someone here wants to buy it before that. not sure if I will win it yet

whilst I am talking with you, are you still doing P1800s are I need one welded in the usual places

Hi Kassie,

Thanks for your post.
You're the first person to show any interest so I'm sure it'll still be here in a few days.
I'm in Scotland now and so would be hard to carry out work without big costs in getting a vehicle up here.

Kind regards,

Gordon

okay thanks. Also didn't win that red P1800 bid that needed the roof.
Thanks
