Default Bluetooth Connection Issues

Hi all

I have a 2013 P3 XC70 with the Sensus Nav (Pre 2014, no globe button) and have just got a new phone (Google Pixel 5). I deleted my old device (Oneplus 7 Pro) and searched for my new phone which the car didn't find. No problem so I made the car discoverable, found the car on my phone, clicked add and it asked for the cars passkey (which I didn't know) but no matter what code (0000, 1234, 1111 etc) I put in, the car rejects the connection. I wasn't expecting this, I was expecting the car to just display the code I have entered on the screen for me to make sure it matches and then click OK?

Can anyone shed any light on this as its driving me mad!

Thanks a lot in advance everyone!

Yes, I've had issues too occasionally. Don't remember any universal solution, though.

What does the handbook tell you to do? Often in-car bluetooth connections are done the other way around to that which you describe. You put the phone into discoverable mode, and then use the 'add phone' function on the car head unit to find the phone and make the pairing.

The handbook suggest that if one method doesn't work, try the other one...
