Default Start Prevented Please Try Again .... Options?

Hello,

I have an issue with my trusty S60.
Which has been laid up since the first lockdown really.

After jumping it off previously, and now fitting a new battery.
It wont start.
Comes up with 'Start prevented please try again'

We all know this is the car not reading the chip in the key.
So I am trying to source a new antenna ASAP - see wanted add.

But if this doesnt work, what are my options?
I only have the one key...

Second hand CEM and Key? (or is more required)
Call to the dealer, can they supply them pre-coded?
I have seen someone in Lithiuania advertising they can pull the code from the CEM and code a new chip.

Any thoughts?
Thanks
Richard

Not necessarily the antenna ring. If the car is parked long term without disconnecting the battery and the battery goes flat, sometimes the CEM software loses the key programming and no longer recognizes the keys. May want to ask these people https://www.datatransferring.com/volvo

Not on a S60 , it has been known on The S40/V50/C70 range with the 2.0D engine however !

get the antenna ring from the dealer , then see how it goes ..

Thanks guys.
There is a program called VDASH (https://d5t5.com/) which you can use with Vida/Dice.
I will report back when I find a fix.

Make sure you don't have any RFID door openers etc on your car key ring as this can cause issues.

Also I have a spare antenna and will check the part number shortly.
