Default XC60 insurance again

New quote £55 up on last year. Rang and this was reduced by £20 straight away. Went on line and new quote was £2 less than last year. Get a grip volvo insurance, you now have to print a whole load of paper exactly the same as last year instead of just a quick renewal. Mad or what?

I changed from Tesco insurance back to direct line (who I had been with for many years previous) and paid the same premium as I paid last year.

I cannot fault them in anyway, "Which" give them a very high customer satisfaction rating as well.

Must be something to do with how you have customised your Volvo into the Reliant monster you have created.........

When my insurance was due for renewal this year I found that when you blalanced out all the variables that you could play with - excess, replacement car, recovery, windscreen, etc, etc that the 'cheap quotes' became much the same price (and often more) than the 'expensive quotes'.

Of course like any normal distribution there were those that were very cheap and those that were very expensive, but the greatest majority fell within a small range - though they all looked very different on initial sight

I stayed with Aviva as they still offered the best package for me.

my original quote was increased by over £200 after a search around I got it down to less than last year with Axa. Decided on a whim to try Aviva and they were competitive but when I added my provisional driver, wife, it dropped by another 100. So I've managed to get the same cover but for 50 cheaper than last year.
