Year 2 Service - Items not included?

I don't know if the following brings anything new to the discussion.

I found the certificate that I was sent that entitles me to the 3 year free service. It specifically mentions that brake fluid is covered under the service offer, along with the usual filters etc.

It also has a paragraph that states:

"Brake fluid will only be replaced at the end of the 2nd year of ownership.

Completely agree, I also note from the routine service checklist that brake fluid is not an additional charge, it is the tyre inflation canister (where fitted).

The specifica statement about brake fluid is that it is recommended every 2 years regardless of mileage.

I suspect that Darbs' dealer is undertaking the common practice where consumables are charged for extra to the labour for undertaking the task. This has been prevelant for many years and accounts for a large number of these 'cheap' deals where the headline figure does not include the consumables.
