RT Mechanics in Haslemere (http://www.rtmechanics.co.uk/) are approved RICA agents, and not to far from you - might be useful.

Please let me know how you get on, they used to service my previous Volvos and will probably get this one when the free servicing runs out

There are many tuners out there.do a search and fiind out all the facts and then make Your own mind up of which to choose.

Cheers for the fast response gents

ok i have checked out the site reccomended and looks good, chances are that i am going to use these guys.

however i have also come accross

http://www.tuningstyling.co.uk

looks like more power for less money. I realise that this goes slightly against what i have orinaly said about getting it done with no cost spared, however if i know of a few guys that have had positive feedback with this company then even better.

If not then im still open to suggestions.

There are various statements around on these tuning boxes, most of which are rather negative. I had one on my v70 and it seemed to work for me, but there are more stories about them not working than there are about them working.

I think that the phrase would be caveat emptor

if you want to keep your warranty, you have to go for the volvo approved polestar: http://polestar.se/en-gb/performance/. any volvo dealer will do it.

here's a good thread on remapping in any case: http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=123836

For the Dog's Danglies in Volvo performance tuning, you need Heico Sportiv. Unfortunately they don't have a UK service agent, but you could always take a trip across the Channel....

What a coincidence I have just had the Polestar information land on my doorstep this morning. It ticks all the boxes warranty etc. But I expect when you notify your insurers there will be a big premium increase.
Cost £645 thats a lot to pay for 20 Bhp and 40Nm torque.

Especially given that RICA cost less and gave more when I looked at this last year
