Great on dip - I really like the way they illuminate both sides of the road. Very good for where I live with very very few streetlights anywhere.

Having said that the swivelling lights on my Skoda Yeti are better. They move on low and high beam and move more according to speed you are going.

There is nothing magical about LEDs versus Xenon. A good LED will be better than a bad Xenon and vice versa.

I also like the colour spectrum of Xenon lights. Some LEDs can be a bit blue.

XC60 Adaptive LEDS works well for me, very rare I get flashed, sure there are different scenarios that cause it to falter, but in general best lights I have had on a car in a long time.

Best lights I ever had was on a Triumph 2.5 PI with additional Hella Spots, (late 70's) now they did light up the road a mile ahead
Now its funny you should say this as you have reminded me that the best lights I have are the ones on my 40 year old Saab 96 running Phillips 100% brighter halogens in the headlights along with a pair of Marchal spots. Just brilliant.

No complaints from me re the active LEDS on my XC90, I think they're superb - mind I am coming from an old trusty Shogun via a horrendous Disco Sport with dreadful halogens (flickering candle in a jam jar springs to mind). Only once been flashed, same as Quacker mentioned with lorry coming over the brow of the hill

My apologies. Didn't mean to hijack the thread but here are a couple of shots of her.

I preferred my previous XC60 my15 adaptive headlights, to the LED ones on my current car.
