Brake Servo Lockheed
Hi
I was at the NEC classic car show the other day and I was talking to one of the club members. He told me that I can purchase a genuine Lockheed servo for my Amazon 123GT 1968 as my servo does not work. I have found these online. Would anyone be able to tell me if any of these are correct and will work. Thanks https://www.s-v-c.co.uk/products/lr1...o-for-rover-p6 https://www.morrisminorspares.com/br...-notes-p829368 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/155805899...Bk9SR5qs9fXOYw |

The original servo would have been a Girling mk2A which are prone to leaking and getting very difficult to source. The servo from Morris would be the closest in spec to the original. The first servo is for a V8 Rover P6 and have a very high boost ratio which you do not need. I also own a V8 Rover P6 and Amazon 133 so would have experience with these and the Rover servo wouldbe overkill. Its needed for the Rover due to the weight of the V8 cars. Before I sold my 123GT I installed the Lockheed servo from Morris minor spares into the car and it worked well. To make an easy install get this bracket https://nordicar.com/en/product/7804...em-663713.html
If you are replacing the original Girling. It bolts directly onto the original servo bracket. Or make your own as I did |

I had my original Girling Servo reconditioned at JL Spares in Rochdale for about the same price as the Morris Minor servo you have linked. People say they leak (internally) and that's true but so will any hydraulic item at the age ours are. Mine lasted 53years. I think its worth it to keep the engine bay looking original - but that might not bother you.

For reconditioning I would be asking how they recondition the units as the internal bores can become scored and even oval. Re-honing and putting in new seals will not give longevity to the unit. I just had a look at the Rover P6 servo and that is NLA as I know I had to get mine reconditioned 2 years ago through a P6 specialist. It is best if they re-sleeve the bore in stainless as this offers the best wear and pitting resistance.
