Service manager has a serious bad attitude, customer knows nothing, he is god etc. Right up to the point when customer goes back in with printout from VADIS to prove him wrong.

If you MUST use main stealer, go to Harratts Wakefield. The service manager there actually knows what he is talking about, he also mentioned he's seeing a lot of cars with Leeds history nowadays. 'Nuff said.

Personally, I've used Craig Rawse in Bradford since the car was new. Seems to know his stuff, but best of all, I can watch him do the work and he doesn't mind me poking my head in to see what's going on.
Harratts Leeds are dire and the sales manager has a worse attitude than the service manager. Tried to sting me for £380 for a window regulator that was covered by my warranty. Wakefield are very good though.

Will try P&R, was going to use Hutton Bros in Slingsby (nr York) who have an excellent reputation.

Unhappy Volvo Service recommendations please - East Sussex

Hi there, I have recently bought a 02 T5, only 51,000 on the clock, and it is fab, apart from the horrendous scuttle shake, everything is perfect but it needs a Service and Mot now. Previously, all services have been carried out by Volvo. Can anyone recommend a good Volvo Dealership in either East Sussex or Kent (nr Tunbridge Wells), as I want to keep the car running as sweet as it already is. Or is it better to go to a good garage and forget about the Volvo stamp? Tivoli Auto Services are near to where I live, but they have not been a Volvo dealership for a number of years and I am concerned that the service may be a bit out of date and I will not get the Volvo stamp in the book. Any help greatly appreciated. Never posted before so hope this is ok!

Hi Tina T5,
I use Parkside Volvo at Orpington, part of the Hildenborough group who at based in Tunbridge Wells and have other outlets in the area.
Doves Volvo in Croydon are also running a service offer at the moment.
Hope this helps.
Nick.

Default Caffyns in Sussex?

Does anyone have a view on Caffyns in Portslade near Brighton? I've come away a couple of times feeling well stung and now feel happier using Amber Garage, an independent, for servicing.

"will not get the Volvo stamp in the book"

I'd not worry about that for an 8 year old car.

Just been browsing through the Forums and spotted your recommendation. I know you can't give examples on specific prices, (or can you) how do they compare, generally speaking, with the main dealers on Merseyside.

"Main Dealer....I Trust"....both spoken in the same breath?

This really should be the shortest thread on here, if not comparable to a list of Italian WW2 War Heroes.
