2WD XC70....DEM-0007, definitely Pressure sensor failure??
Hi All,
In all the recent icy weather I discovered that my XC70 was in fact 2WD, with only the from wheels spinning. I have pulled the codes on a VIDA and have the DEM-0007 error code. I put the car up on axle stands and in drive, the rear wheels spin very slowly and I can hear a high pitched whining which I assume is the pump functioning properly? If I stop the rear wheels spinning the pitch increases, spin them around to match the front wheels and it slows down. I checked the values and the pump pressure is at a constant 0.05Mpa.... nothing basically. So I'm pretty confident the pressure sensor has failed (seems to be a relatively common failure), before I take the plunge however I wanted to check if I was missing something? The solenoid current seems very low.... could that in fact be the problem? Anything else I could be missing? Thanks, Freddie |
