Default Buying Guide

I'm trying to find a buying guide on here for the Phase 3 V70 and must be missing something (my marbles?) as I've had no success so far.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks.

I've also been looking for the same thing!

I'm looking to buy a Mk3 D5 V70 very soon and am looking for some advice on what to look out for/what to avoid on these vehicles. Probably looking at an '07-'11 model, probably between 100k and 150k miles on my budget.

I've read through as many threads as my eyes can handle this evening, trying to identify common issues I might be able to spot during a test drive. Checking windscreen bonding seems like a good shout, and then considering replacing the transmission fluid if I buy an auto - maybe adding the rubber strip "mod" on the boot seal, again after purchase. Anything else I can check for before I buy though? Any tips/help much appreciated!

Check the rear suspension. There are suspension arms that link the hub carrier to the body shell, look in front of the rear wheels. It's common that the rubber Bush fails. Remember this is a Mondeo 4 platform .

Search for suspension squeak.
