I have the blank plate on mine but how many people has actually removed the egr itself...
I just seen a dress kit for it and it inc 3 blank plates... what would you do with the coolant pipes? Just add a hose and return the fluid?

If you have the egr blanked there's there's no need to remove it completely. The coolant running through that exhaust gas pre cooler actually helps the engine warm up faster from cold and helps the heater get hot quicker too. You aren't going to gain any advantage by removing it?

I wasn't going to remove mine, was just a question. First time I've seen a kit so you could do that to the volvos though

I planned to when I had mine, but it was such an awkward item to get at that I blanked it off instead.
