Default PV exhaust pipe

Hi, is there any reason why I shouldn't fit a generic front box to my system instead of ordering a replacement from Sweden? Are there baffle plates inside which could come loose and rattle?

It will change noise and in some cases introduce drone but it depends on quality and design of what you fit. I changed the long middle sport silencer on my 122 for a Jetex straight through box and I’m very happy it’s a little quieter but still has a nice sound

B16. Do you have a seperate silencer or one that is combined with the front pipe from the manifold? Kits now usually have a seperate silencer but the outlet, I think it is the outlet and not the inlet, is offset. The box is a bit oval. If you fit a generic box beware that a straight in and out may put the over axle pipe in a poor position. A bit of bending may need to be done. Simple answer, if it fits dimensionally you should have no problems. Maybe take the old silencer down to your local "Quik-Fit" to see if they can match it.

it's the front box,i replaced the rear one last year.it's just a hasel waiting for the delivery of one from Sweden and "Quick fit" type shops are reluctant to fit your own, rather sell you one.

Beware the new Arcturus strain of the Covid virus. When something has your name on it it's prudent to be careful!
