I had a same problem with xc90 2016 model after I have changed the batterie the key would not work so I tried few different ones. So I have called Volvo they have quoted £360 . The lady at Volvo advised me to lift the two pins where the batterie goes sounds like a common problem . I have done just that and it works fine . Had to call her back and thank her for a simple fix.

I have this issue as well on a 2016 XC90 but mine started with a rear left door handle that didn't work for keyless unlocking or locking with a code CEM-B14F601 (Rear Driver Door Handle General electrical failure). After changing the battery in the key fob, all doors stopped working and the trunk doesn't open or close with its sensor.
Checked the two pins in the key fob and they make contact just fine. I tried two different batteries that work fine in other car's key fobs. I also cleared out the codes and the door handle one hasn't come back. I'm using VDASH to get the codes. The car itself is connected to a battery maintainer so both batteries are topped off. Any other suggestions? |
