What's the name of that kit on ebay Johnnie? Sounds like a great kit for the money!
Though my car already has a simple aftermarket kit where the tone of the beep just changes when you're near and it works just fine, I don't know why anyone would spend real cash on an OEM kit! |

I just spent £15 Delivered!! on a set of parking sensors, with display screen and I have to say it's perfect!
here I mounted the screen upside-down stuck to the headlining just in front of the ceiling boot light, so I can see it in the rear-view and it's like it was there from the factory! (Except the numbers are upside-down!!) I taped over the L and R with black tape cos that didn't make sense either, and just plugged them in in reverse order, to the right-hand side shows on the right side of the display. Very much recommended! My old ones worked fine, but just beeped, it's nice that it shows you which side is getting close! Oh, and the sensors fitted the OEM sensor holes too which is nice! Though amazingly a drill-bit comes in the pack too, and they list the same kit in different colours. I may have to fit the wife's car with the same kit! |

Haha, no you don't have to go up a 3ft curb to get in there.
BenB, you're a mind reader! I was thinking the exact same thing earlier today, it might be worth a shot. I've pretty much dismissed the Volvo system, it's just too expensive to justify, so it's 3rd party all the way. I've heard a few good things about Valeo and Steelmate systems, both of which I've found for around £50, with fitting on top of that. |
