Default Quick answer needed re DPF and turbo

Hi all

Regarding 2010 C30 1.6d drive.
I'm having my turbo replaced (cartridge) on Tuesday. Can anyone advise must do procedures? Will already ensure oil feed pipe, banjos are replaced. Will do 2 oil drops and also clean EGR.

Also as the oil has been dumped in to the exhaust am I risking the turbo going again if the DPF is overdue already at 82k? If I need to replace, can it be done easy as a DIY job? Or will it need plugging in?

Thank you

To be honest I'd replace the DPF given what you've said and it's already over 75k. Potentially it's a DIY job if you're handy with tools but you will require a VIDA plug in to tell the car a new DPF has been fitted and reset that counter.

Personally, I'd get rid ASAP.
I bought a V50 with FSH and a new Turbo fitted, thinking it would be good for many miles.
It had smoking issues and kept going into limp mode, and a clogged DPF was diagnosed (likely cause for the Turbo failure).
I had the DPF removed and mapped out, and the problem persisted.
I replaced most sensors, had injectors inspected and removed the IC and pipework to clean the residual oil out, but nothing fixed the problem.

I sold it 4 months later as it never run right, and the 4 specialists that looked at it couldn't pinpoint the problem, but suspect it was related to the Turbo failure and DPF being clogged.

I thought to reset DPF counter has to be Volvo official dealer.
