Check Engine Light on
My friend has a 202 Volvo S40. She recently got a check engine and took it to Autozone so that they can scan the code. Code came up as p0015 Cam Shaft Bank 1.
Autozone told her that she needs to replace the Cam Shaft Sensor bank 1 and was quoted for $199. Another friend suggested to look under CVVT Valve under the timing cover to look for oil/gunk build up. Sometimes this could be the main issue for the code and the sensor does not really need a replacement. I was wondering if someone here can help point us to the CVVT Valve or the Cam Shaft Sensor? Thanks in advance. |
