Brembo 4 piston big brake calipers
I have a set of Brembo four piston Brembo calipers, they came on an Alfa Romeo 166 3.0 with 310mm (12.2") rotors. Used rotors in 5x108 bolt pattern also available...
I believe they are the same thing as used on V70R's and the like. I was going to fit them to my 740, but sadly I have to let them go now. Calipers are in good condition, come with all the hardware. £200 for both front calipers, give me your post code for a shipping quote. I'll try to get some pictures tomorrow, but they look like these: |

hardware
when you say hardware, do you mean the mounting brackets as they're not a straight bolt on job. If that's the case and the price includes everything to fit them I'll definitely have them please. First dibs etc.
Many thanks, Carl.

I haven't had time (always something) to make brackets since I bought the calipers, and now I have to let them go, so sadly they don't come with brackets. Even so, it is still more than a good deal, considering THIS. If the buyer is interested, I have some 940 strut assemblies that could be used as mock up to build brackets, but I only have Alfa 310mm rotors at my disposal currently. We could work out the price for "whole package" with calipers and adapters. |

Hi - I have been looking at doing a brake upgrade on my 1996 850R - and this thread is the only one online that suggests using the Alfa 166 brembo calipers and rotors.
I have a guy locally who I can buy the 166 calipers and rotors from very very cheap. But I would be going on your recommendation entirely if I were to do so. Did these ever get fitted successfully to a volvo that has a braking system similar to mine? I can handle a few minor mechanical repairs but I'm scared of wasting my time and money on this if it is gonna be really hard to do. Can any confirm this adaption process? only a set of adapter brackets to complete? thanks guys |
