Advice on best iPhone kit for xc70
Hello all
Can anyone give me advice on what the best kit has been for them to attach their iPhone? I need it to play music and answer calls through speakers, charge, and have the holder for the phone. Phone already has nokia connection for phone which works to answer calls but I have to plug my iPhone into cig. lighter and keep it in the cup holder! |

I have a hands free Nokia ck100 Bluetooth and an iPhone 3gs. It plays my music and answers calls with ease. I bought a telemute lead for my stereo so it will mute automatically. They are reasonably priced and simple to fit. i made my phone holder from parts of a tomtom screen suction mount to hold the phone. I use the cig lighter cable to charge it with the normal cable.

I use an iO-Play Bluetooth module added to my phase 1 V70 all the audio from phone calls of iPOD goes over the wireless link using Bluetooth and comes out through the car speakers.
As for holding (and powering) the iPhone I use a Brodit active holder attached to a Brodit Pro-Clip, not cheap but good quality kit and nothing has been attached to the car with screws so no damage if/ when removed which should be a consideration with newer cars. If you intend to use the iPhone for GPS based navigation a powered mount is vital, without external power even a fully charged iPhone will be dead within an hour when running a GPS nav app - Mike |
