I tend to use Volvo on Call to search an actual destination, like an address, and then send it to the car, seems to do a pretty good job to get me to the front door.

I don't have an issue with arrows either, although I have the mini map in the centre console all the time up.

Latest update appears to have resolved some issues in navigation
A roads now pronounced as ay not a
Numbers 4 and 2 pronounced fully
Motorway is now said properly, not mowaway

Couldn't believe it this morning when it did indeed correctly pronounce A51

Now for the random timing of the indicator click

Just installed the latest update, much better than before if you speak in a clear voice.

I did have a total system software upgrade, which was carried out on 13/07/2018 as recommended by a TJ and now wonder if the VC was updated then?

Same here... and now I have no voice control. The steering wheel key doesn't prompt for a voice command.
I'll try running the update from USB again, but if that doesn't work fortunately the car is into the dealer on Saturday for the parking software update / recall.

When did you download the voice update, they cocked it up when they first put it out but corrected it a few days later. I and others had the same problem but after deleting the update from the usb and downloading again a few days later it worked ok.

I have actually downloaded it three separate times and in all occasions the same message appears to me. There was a software update on the car at the dealer's in early September.

Have you had September software update from dealer yet? and is that update the recall one needed to update your car with?

Maybe the voice cannot be updated until you have the dealer software update, or newest map update?

The recall update (afik) is just related to the parking assist
I tried the voice update again with newly downloaded file to freshly formatted USB today - no joy. Will call dealer tomorrow to add fixing this to the job list on Saturday, I think it needs the Volvo equivalent of ctl-alt-del

I am not sure it is, I think there are other things in there that have been updated.

It certainly screwed up my Battery Range dial, and how long left on the battery gauge.

Have you done the latest map updates?
