I put some Goodyear wranglers on, and so far, 9k in, they look good. very little wear - and my mpg was 47.2 on last check. road noise is good too compared to Chinese rubbish the stealer put on when I bought it on selekt........

I too have Wranglers which I am pleased with in terms of grip and road performance and useful towing over grass. However you may find as I have that the rears in particular will get noisier as they wear. I'm on my second set and the drone has started again which I just live with. I might however try the Michelins next time to see if it makes a difference.

More likely wear is due to turning not speed my OEM tyres are on 6mm all round but swap to winters so they have done less although car is on 25k in 18 months

I’d rotate them your annual mileage is low, you could get another 3 years out of them will you keep car beyond 7 years? Do you run the same tyres all year or switch to winters? Last edited by HDAV; Mar 30th, 2019 at 19:52. |
