I work in aerospace in aircraft interiors. Some airlines use tapis ultraleather for aircraft seat covers, which is a synthetic (vegan) leather. From their website:

Perpetuating this thread hijacking, I'm pretty sure that calves would drink cow's milk if we didn't get there first.

Can't stand this vegan bollocks. Why should we suffer with plastic seat trim because a small minority don't want it?
The militant vegans really get me, especially the hypocrites.

I was targeted on the tube last week for eating a ham sandwich by one, saying I was responsible for killing the earth and disrespecting their veganist views by eating meat.

The clown was sat with holding a leather MK handbag and wearing Dr Martens...

Yep, there is no educating pork. Idealism without realism. All plastics are oil based and they think they save the world.

Saw a sign outside a butchers in Crail last week, it read.

Every day hundreds of thousands of plants are killed by vegetarians.

The link that Laney provided seems to sum it up perfectly.

i.e. Vegan Leather = pvc free.

And cutting down on pvc ain't a bad thing in my books.

I now expect a bombardment on the 'ins and outs' of pvc!

Still prefer the real stuff to any plastic alternative.
Anyway the rest of the animal with a leather interior so not exactly going to waste.
