Why not buy volvo dice for £70 and turn on trip yourself...

Aidy, for the S40, V50, C30, C70 family the trip is a software update that needs dealer interaction as the software is kept on Volvo servers in Sweden.

Unfortunately the trip is not able to be activated simply by Vida/Dice for this range anyway.

Thanks for clearing that up. I was going to reply and state that I only thought a Dice unit was for diagnostics.

Would the dice unit find the error in my aircon which I have posted in another post?

Bit of a drag that.I've only 1 key,was hoping to code a spare until I found it's only Volvo that can and now I find out the trip will never be..

Oh well don't think I'll bother with the dice...

That's a lot of money for the trip, will all dealers be the same, I wouldn't pay more than £100

I got quoted £130 for the arm and £270 for the software from a Volvo indie. Put the elm327 and torque pro in for less than a tenner.

My local indie dealer I spoke to wanted £250 plus £49 for the diagnostic check first all plus VAT. I cant warrant that so I'll just manage without it. Its a ridiculous price for a simple software update.
