Threw a CEL today.
After spouting how relaible my T5 is recently it decided to throw a strop today and put on the CEL. The idle was rough too but it did not stall, and once above 1000RPM it ran 95% OK
Got it checked out and the code was ECM262A Long term fuel trim Bank 1 Lower limit. Read about it - but might as well have been in double dutch the sence it made. Bottom line is Poss Air leak; High fuel pressure,Leaking injectors; Defective MAF;Contaminated Oil; Too much Oil; or defective Ho2 sensor. My money is on the MAF - its still the original one- every so often the CEL comes on, I remove the MAF and give it a real good spray with electrical contact cleaner - Replace and the car continues as previously -until next time.
