As far as I can see, unit is indistinguishable from new. I don't think thy're self-levelling; surely that only happens with the HID versions and this is plain old halogen

The absolute lowest I'd take is the eBay starting price of £30 plus carriage at cost. Obviously I'd prefer a bit more and am tempted to wait and see if any eBay folk start bidding.

The part number I'm quoting is 31283159RH which I'd expect to fit any S40/V50 from 2004 to 2007.

http://www.partsforvolvosonline.com are offering a non-OEM version (for £102) which they claim will fit those years and replaces Volvo part numbers 30698891, 30698880, 30698643, and 30678905 (but don't mention 31283159 !)

I'll check tomorrow as I think I may may have HID's as can't seem to see a headlight level switch, I'll check tomorrow (depending on the weather) and I'll let you know

I'm interested - I'd have snapped your hand hand off it was the passenger side.

My passenger side could do with replacing but I'm sure the drivers side won't be a long way behind.

I would only really want to be giving £30 for a spare unit though.


I have got to go closer towards Chesterfield sometime in the next few weeks, a place called Longcliffe - you don't ever head out that way do you?

Mine is a 2004 and looks the same but I would have to just pull the light out to double check.

I realise I'm only offering the minimum you would accept so feel free to see if it sells on ebay first - as I say it's not a desperate item for me.

Longcliffe is between Matlock & Ashbourne so approx 15mls SW of Chesterfield. I live between Chesterfield & Mansfield (close to M1 J29) which is approx 20 mls from Longcliffe across country & would be happy to meet up in (say) Matlocfk.

Always a possibility that eBay bids might be withdrawn of course. Hopefully that won't happen but I shall in any case post final result here.
