Default 66 - The Yellow Peril!

Finally some photo's of the 66, As you can see from these, he has some body-issues, which the previous owner has helpfully touched up with Yellow Hammerite (really), which has, at least, stopped it getting any worse! Still, the interior is great, and he is still running well, these little go-carts really are fun!

Winter project is underway.........(nearly, some work on the 265 to finish first.....)

Wow!!! That takes me back to my childhood. Can't remember the last time I saw one of these. Definitely one for the 'cool wall' in my book

Likewise! A friend of my mum's had one of these - actually, I think hers was a pre-Volvo DAF - and I remember having a ride in it once, back in the early 70s. Haven't thought about that for a while!

Phwoar! We had a 55. Always lusted after the 66. 80mph all-day cruise...

I'd say it's already saved. Someone has taken the bother to ship it there. If you do a DVLA search the UK plates are genuine for that vehicle. Astonishing the lengths some people will go to!

Finally the restoration begins! Starting with the gearbox......

Day one today, getting the passenger side primary unit diaphragm sorted...... Appears it did need a bit of work! Photo's are before, during and after.

Drivers side tomorrow.....
