2012 Volvo XC70 2.4 D5 Nav Lux
2012 Volvo XC70 2.4 D5 Nav Lux 212 bhp Geartronic.
Ivory colour. Satnav, climate control, front and rear parking sensors, Bluetooth with the streaming (control your phone through the buttons on the steering wheel), city collision prevention system, automatic wipers, self dimming mirrors, cream leather interior, detachable towing hook (Volvo), xenon lights (takes 5 minutes to switch them to the continental side). Full service history, part dealer, part independent Volvo specialist. I own this car for over 6 years. I bought it off the Marshall Volvo in Milton Keynes with a mileage of 53k. We have a small petrol car in the family for local runs and Volvo carries us all around Europe. This explains the current mileage of 114k, slightly above average. Simply, the best car I owned so far and I had quite a few, including 5 Volvos. Bad bits When switching to drive, the gearbox gives a slight kick, more like a thud. It is not getting worse it was like this since 53k on the clock. The gearbox has been serviced at 60k and at 105k. The gearbox man said it is not worth fixing yet, it is not bad (or consistent) enough, so I left it and 6 years she is doing this, only noticeable when hot. Maybe the first gearbox oil change helped, not sure. The other Volvos did not do that, so I have to mention it. Going through the gears up and down is smooth, reverse and parking is fine. There is a tiny microscopic hole somewhere in the radiator hose. No bubbles in the expansion tank, no drops of coolant in the exaust gases, but occasionally a wet patch (size of 2-3 inches in diameter) under the front bumper on a rare morning. I prefer to top up the coolant from min to max mark twice a year. It’s not getting worse or causing a trouble. Low battery warning at times. Again, battery works fine for years, the car starts absolutely normally including winter and week-long gaps. Some stone chips on the front bumper. She is 10 years old after all. Good bits. About 3 years ago the ceramic coating was applied, so the paint is in a very good condition. Leather is looked after so in good condition too. No creaks or rattles. New brake discs and pads recently, good for next 100k or so. Engine, suspension, electrics, everything works fine. Engine doesn't smoke at all. No oil top up required. Timing belt and water pump are done at 80k. We don’t smoke and I don’t allow to eat in the car. Overall, she is clean and strong car. Genuine reason for sale. £8500.
