Default Wet passenger footwell....new matrix.

Yes yes, i know that there is already a thread about someone else's wet passenger footwell.

Right, a few weeks ago i had a wet passenger footwell. I thought it was the matrix.

Matrix changed, footwell dried out. All ok.

Fast forward to today, and again, i have a wet footwell. Im quite sure its coolant as its greasy. BUT! I've checked the coolant level and it doesn't SEEM to have changed at all.

I have also checked the drainage hoses just below the windscreen, crystal clear!

Any ideas how the coolant is making it's way in?

Thanks!

the O-rings can sometimes leak on the matrix once they are disturbed. Unless you put new ones in. As yellowt5r say, give the matrix another check. It doesn't take much coolant to make a mess.

Just a thought on this, but could the exceptionally cold weather we had (and it was below -12º on several nights here) have damaged any of the seals for this, or even the matrix itself?

Car is ALWAYS parked in an underground car park, which, even in this weather, has never been below -1

Put worth a check!

I had Volvo look round the car today, take passenger carpets out etc etc. It was all dry in there.

I will keep checking.

Thanks for replies so far!
